Playful Communities guide

Children and teenagers need and have the right to quality places and time for play as part of their everyday life in their own community. But there are difficulties and challenges that can stop children having the freedom and independence to play out in their communities.

This guide offers useful information to make sure children have enough time, space and freedom to play every day. Playful Communities is full of ideas about how to make your community more playful. It also includes examples of what's being done in communities across Wales.
