Play in the Community
Inspiration
Across Wales, there are many great examples of play projects and spaces. They support play in a variety of ways, responding to the needs of children, teenagers and the community. Some of these may no longer be happening but these examples may inspire you to try something similar in your community.
Sharing successful examples can help you make the case for what you’d like to do. You may be able to visit some of these examples to find out more and take children along with you to see what they think.
The examples are from all sorts of organisations and groups in Wales, including parents, play associations, councils, schools, countryside and cultural organisations. They show different approaches, tailored to the location, the children or a particular need in the community.
