Benefits of play
Playing offers your child so much that supports their health and development. When children are playing, they are exercising their bodies and brains without even realising it. Playing can also be relaxing – and most importantly it’s fun. Playing needn’t cost much (or anything at all) and it makes every day an adventure.
No matter how old your child is, playing is good for their wellbeing and development. Experiencing lots of different types of play helps children and teenagers develop the skills and self-reliance they need as they grow up. It’s great to play outside and have space to move around, get some fresh air and gain confidence outside.
