Grab your wellies and coats, let’s play!

The shorter days and cold weather don’t have to spoil your children’s play time. The autumn is a perfect time to get out, explore and have fun. So, grab your wellies and coats, and let’s play!

Here are a few play ideas for your children to try this autumn:

  1. Playing pooh sticks
  2. Making shadow shapes
  3. Searching for autumnal things on your walk
  4. Building a den
  5. Going on a scavenger hunt
  6. Carving pumpkins
  7. Playing hide and seek in the dark
  8. Chasing your shadow
  9. Jumping in puddles
  10. Going stargazing.

Bonkers for conkers

Another great play idea for the autumn is collecting and playing conkers. Playing conkers encourages children to go out in the fresh air and it pulls them away from screens.

If you can’t remember how to play conkers, here’s our handy video to remind you!
